Red Faction: Guerrilla

Review -

have you ever been a miner? have you ever been in a mining position in which you get transferred to mars? have you ever been a miner on mars where a Earth Defense Force (EDF)is in control and ends up killing someone close to you? have you ever been a miner on mars who wanted to take revenge on the EDF and blow up a shit ton of stuff along the way?

probably not, but Red Faction: Guerrilla might be the game for you!

honestly there has not been very many games that Generation Reviews likes straight away. usually when one of us does a review we have to play the game a bit until it grows on us, but this one hit us in the face right away!

you take on the roll as Alec Mason, who has lost someone close to him and you then join a guerrilla unit on mars and proceed to take revenge on the EDF.

if you like to run around freely like a GTA style game this games for you. also, if you like to blow up anything and everything, and we mean EVERYTHING, in your path, then this game is for you!

the graphics are good for the games time, it is an older title, but, it is an AMAZING title to say the least!

gameplay overall is great to!

you want to know our honest to go opinion? take up arms and fight for the death of your loved one in - Red Faction: Guerrilla

Total score - 8.3/10

Rogue Warrior Review

Rogue Warrior...

You take on the roll as Dick Marcinko, a veteran and founder of the navy SEAL unit.
it all opens with you (Dick) and two teammates taking a whirlybird ride to North Korea.
upon landing things go, KIND OF according to plan. you and your team DOMINATE all of
the Korean scum but just when you think your out of the woods the Korean group leader
holds up a ring (turns out to be a bomb) and kills your team. You (being Dick Marcinko)
somehow manage to escape the "Goat Fuck" and somehow walk away unphased. it is then when
you become a lone wolf of stealth and action, to take on Korea and Russia?

my first thoughts, looking at this game from behind glass was, that game looks pretty cool!
well i bought it and i must say a few things. the gameplay = Shit, the graphics = Shit, and
the length of the game = Shit!!! it took me 1 hour to beat the game on easy, 2 hours to beat
the game on normal, and i am assuming hard will take me on the journey of somewhere around 3
hours (god i hope not). honestly, this game doesnt feel like a, well, a game at all. due to the length
and the graphics i suppose it could pass for a downloadable game on the Xbox Live Market Place,
but a full game? i think not! the single player is repetative and is glitchy as hell! the multiplayer
is ok but i bet that is because it is to much like call of duty!

something good i suppose is the kill moves you can perform. very gorey and makes me smile. there are about
20 kill moves/finishing moves. another good thing is if you are an Achievement Whore, then this game
can get you about 695 in the first 3 hours of play, EASY! another nice thing is that they brought the
kill moves into online play, so if you sneak up on a player and tap A, then you will do anything
from slitting their throat to throwing them off a ledge.

if you asked Generation Reviews if you should buy this game, what would we say? we'd say, dont buy it
at all. if you want the easy achievements and just something to kill time, borrow it from a friend that
was stupid enough to buy it, or rent the game

Overall Score = 4-10
